Well, I got all the Smiths albums as well and also all the singles up until 'The Boy With...'. But only a selection of the Morrissey albums made it to my collection.

This Charming Man was really the song that made me drop all the electronic music (Cabaret Voltaire, Front 242, etc.) and turn to mainly guitar-based music.

Do you also have the 12" New York remix of This Charming Man? I didn't even know it existed when I found it in some shop in Germany back in those days.

Ooh, thank you for your comment, it cheered me up! Its my peak "finish the work around the house dammit!" time now, so I'll read your blog later in the day and comment :-)

Not that you will find much interesting stuff on my blog here. It is just sort of there :-) But I'm one of the guys (Mads) writing the music stuff over at We<3Music so check my posts there.

I have This Charming Man 12" NY mix via the Japanese This Charming Man EP, but as far as I know, that original 12" NY is really rare.

There's a couple of other rare one, maybe one day I'll get around to spotlighting them on we<3music.

You should post some electronic music ... I think we're lacking on that.  I got into music via George Michaels, Phil Collins, and Wilson Phillips, but I don't think I want to talk about that hahaha.  I'm probably going to talk about them eventually, I'm not that ashamed of them

Almost all my electronic music is on vinyl and in boxes. As is my record player :-) But let's see what happens.

My first ever record was the Kings Of The Wild Frontier album by Adam And The Ants. That got me into music and I started listening to chart stuff like Duran Duran, Visage, Tears For Fears, Yazoo and Blancmange. But Adam And The Ants were my favourites back then and I was collecting anything I could get my hands on like badges and poster (and the records of course).
